Besides our main Festival in May, Story Crossroads offers workshops and performances throughout the year.  See below on what is planned so far.

FREE 8-hour Storytelling Residencies for Public

*  Our 8-hour Residencies in January-March 2018 are free and are usually 2-hour sessions over a certain space of time so that people–families (ages 8+), and adults (ages 18-201) learn how to craft, perform, and polish stories for the stage and that happen across Salt Lake County at several locations, see details here

House Concert Fundraising Series

*  Friday, April 20, 2018, 7:00pm-8:30pm, Featuring Janine Nishiguchi, Best for teens and adults, Suggested Donation $15.00+/person or $25.00+/couple or family, any amount appreciated, see details here

Story Blasting

*  Wednesday, May 16, 2018, 6:00pm-8:00pm, meet at the Murray City Park near the Parks and Recreation Building (296 E. Murray Park Ave., Murray, UT) to have partners/small groups to do ultra short door-to-door storytelling in pre-determined neighborhoods, see details here

5-hour Intensive Workshop

*  Tuesday, May 22, 2018, 10:00am-3:00pm, includes catered lunch, $100, Held each year a day before the May Festival, theme changes though 2018 is on living history/storytelling skills for the experienced beginner and presented by Denise Valentine from Pennsylvania, see details here

Story Crossroads Festival

*  Wednesday, May 23, 2018, Event featuring 15 professional story artists and 50 community tellers at the Murray City Park/South Jordan Community Center, only costs $1.00/student or senior and $3.00/adult for entire Festival time, see details here

16-hour Master Story Facilitator Courses

*  Fall 2018, $320, Held every other year on even years about mid-September to early-October with experts Sam Payne and Suzanne Christensen, see details of past 2016 course here
